Welcome. I’m a contributor over at GameFAQs.com and a sometime denizen of its message boards.
Games are listed alphabetically by title and chronologically storywise within series.
- Final Fantasy X — My Shortlist
A personal shortlist for use while playing FFX. Tips and reminders, both obscure and obvious, I’ve cobbled together to forestall the need for searching through the plethora of published guides. Maybe it’ll prove useful for someone else, too.
Current. Complete, for the moment at least. Status: Idle. Never intended for submission to GameFAQs.
- Final Fantasy X — Blitzball Techniques: A Primer
A practical guide on gaining blitzball techniques: Using Techcopy; the importance of Key Techs; making specialty techs appear; the mysteries behind the Tech Find prize. A great swath of FFX players eschew blitz entirely and, I suspect, the reason lies in the difficulty in learning the techniques so vital to the game. Folks having problems too often receive “use Techcopy” and “keep trying” without elaboration in response to their help requests, so I’ve compiled all the answers in this one guide, unearthed the clues buried in other FAQs, winnowed the chaff, refined the tips, and tested, tested, tested. Remember, this is a primer, not a perfectionist’s guide, though everything tech related is covered.

1/31/2007 |
Submitted to GameFAQs, but now rejected due to Oversaturation, though I’d addressed GameFAQs’s prior comments. Oh well. Retested against a new playthrough, reverifying every bit of feedback; fixed inaccuracies, clarified vagaries; increased Qs from 26 to 27. |
| 1.3 |
12/14/2006 |
Submitted to GameFAQs, but subsequently rejected as not beginner-ish enough. Integrated further feedback; increased Qs from 24 to 26. |

Integrated feedback received so far; increased Qs from 21 to 24; added to Acknowledgments. |

11/19/2006 |
Original. Submitted to GameFAQs as Final Fantasy X Blitzball Tech Tips. Rejected after content review for several reasons: Duplication; Lack of Content; Oversaturation. |
- Final Fantasy XII — Omega Mark XII
Detailing the methodology I ultimately employed to defeat Omega Mark XII, an optional boss lurking in the bowels of FFXII. The method is a composite built from numerous tips and suggestions (all documented herein). Not an “expert” guide by any stretch, but useful perhaps for anyone frustrated by this foe.
Current. Complete, with no updates anticipated. Never intended for submission to GameFAQs. (16K)
- Kingdom Hearts — SYNTHESIS: Minimum Items Required
A cribsheet listing the total number of items needed to synthesize one of everything (and gain Sora’s Ultima Weapon). Handy for those who like to do all of their synthesizing in one fell swoop, and who loathe coming up one item short.
Submitted as a separate FAQ, but declined for “lack of content”. Offered to the synthesis FAQ’s author, but the e-mail bounced and hasn’t been updated. (8K)
- Kingdom Hearts — Missable Guide New!
A complete catalogue of every missable item or scene in Kingdom Hearts. Still an often-asked question and to date not one existing guide had even mentioned “missables”, so after all these years here’s the missing coverage.
Expect updates! I plan to pull a “Maltzsan” (a la FFXII’s Game Mechanics FAQ) and pad this guide with all the tidbits about the original Kingdom Hearts that I’ve collected over the years.

8/27/2010 |
New! Original. Submitted to GameFAQs and accepted the same day. This is the same file as listed on the KH FAQs page. (64K) |
- Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories — FAQ & Walkthrough
Only one walkthrough was available when writing began, so what the hey. My third guide published at GameFAQs received over two hundred hits its first day (and nearly every day since), more than both my Okage FAQs combined see in a week. Okay, no pressure there.
No updates are planned for the foreseeable future, so please bring anything missing, confusing, or in error to my attention.

6/29/2009 |
Original. Submitted to GameFAQs...and accepted the same day. No, wasn’t expecting that. |
- Kingdom Hearts II — Synthesis Additions
Started out as a dupe of my KH list, but I tagged on a lot of other synthesis trivia.
Didn’t bother submitting to GameFAQs. The bulk of the info was picked up by Ultimaterializer X for the Bestiary/Synthesis Guide v3.1. The cribsheet was also picked up by Megafierce for the Synthesis Guide v0.85 (and mostly obscured in later revs).
Updated, Sunday, September 27, 2009. Added recommendations for making the most of your mythril materials and getting everything done in one sitting. (16K)
- Okage: Shadow King — FAQ & Walkthrough
Okage was in dire need of a complete, spoiler-free walkthrough for the game’s North American version. I started out intending to cover only the World Library, but far too many explanations crept in and things quickly snowballed.
No further updates are anticipated at this time, so if you spot anything missing or wrong be sure to bring it to my attention, as I won’t be reviewing this guide again for a very, very long time.
Awards. The walkthrough was honored with GameFAQs’ FAQ of the Month award for July 2006.

- Okage: Shadow King — Compatibility Gift Scene Scripts
My second published FAQ, also for Okage. Documents each of six possible scenes during which Ari (the game’s lead character) receives the compatibility gift he’s earned.
Current. Version 1.0, submitted to GameFAQs on Wednesday, September 20, 2006. The guide was accepted on Monday, September 25, 2006, but wasn’t listed under What’s New until Friday, September 29, 2006. This is the same file as listed on the Okage FAQs page. The guide is complete and no updates are anticipated. (24K)
Also available individually. If you prefer to avoid spoiling the other scenes, you can review each script separately. The following link to formatted web pages rather than plain text documents.
